The Greek team continued to collect medals at the World Youth Championship

As of today, Greece has two more Jiu Jitsu world champions. Spyros Topalidis and Theodosis Serpanos won the title in their categories: Topalidis at -85k. of U21 winning the final of the Ukrainian Ivan Scabri and Serpanos in the -69k fighting of the U18, beating Nikola Vulevitch from Montenegro in his own final.

But they were not the only medals. Our country also celebrated three bronze medals, one by Giorgos Tsoromokos in the U18 +85k fighting, the second by Vivian Karagianni in the U16 -44k and the third in the Duo mixed U21 by the Stathis brothers.

Most of the participants today with the blue and white had excellent placings, with 6 athletes reaching one victory away from the medal, taking 5th place in the world, while the duo of

Sidera and Trigoni in the women’s show.

After day 2, our country has a total of 18 medals and is in 3rd place in the ranking with 5 gold, 3 silver and 10 bronze, behind only Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates.
