An unfair defeat (23-22) for the Men’s National Team from Bosnia in the city of Kazin in front of 2,000 spectators for the 2nd matchday of the 3rd qualifying group of EURO 2026.
The national team put up a great fight, having an excellent second half, mainly defensively, and claimed the victory until the end, but did not succeed in the details.
Bukovinas with 40% (15/37), Tziras with 7 goals, Toskas with 5 goals and Passias (1 goal) were top scorers for our National Team.
The qualification to the finals of EURO 2026 remains openwith the National Team in 2nd place, while the tournament continues in March with two matches against Iceland.
Giorgos Zaravinas started in the attack with Passias (playmaker), Toska (right winger), Kritikos (left winger), Liapis (pivot), Tziras (right winger) and Kederis (left winger). In the first half, Bosnia controlled the match led by goalkeeper Burić, who had 7/15 operations with 47%!
In the middle of the half, Panagiotou also entered the match in the role of playmaker, as well as Haris Mallios, while Bukovinas, although he did not start well, then had important interventions, reaching 6/19 (32%).

Cool Dimitris Tziras made no mistake with two penalty kicks (4/4 in the first half) making the halftime score 13-11.
In the second half, Bosnia restored the difference to 4 goals (15-11) with two goals from Grigić in the 33rd minute, but from then on everything changed.
Our national team with excellent defense and Bukovina ready, caged aggressively the Bosnians, while aggressively with Tosca, Passia and Cretikos managed to turn the tide.
With individual scores 8-1 Greece went ahead 19-18 with Kritikos in the 45th minute, while in the 48th minute it was 19-20 with a penalty by Tziras. With Grigic, Peric and Panic, the hosts ran a 3-0 run for 22-20 in the 55th minute with our National Team to stay without a goal for about 7 minutes.
Arambatzis and Toskas at 55′ and 58:12 made it 22-22, but Alilovic’s goal at 58:54 decided the match for Bosnia.
Our national team had the opportunities to equalize with them last attackwhile he scored with Tosca in the final, but the goal was disallowed as overdue.
