Another cup of it Panathinaikou to shooting!
On Saturday, the “greens” celebrated winning the 6th Panhellenic championship in their history in Men’s air pistol in the matches that took place in Byron, with Aris Saltayiannis, Nikos Kaniouris and Yiannis Kambouris defeating the competition and giving another great success in the shooting section of the “clover”.
In detail, what Erasitechnis Panathinaikos states in his announcement: Another huge success for the shooting department of Panathinaikos as they succeeded and lifted the Championship in the air pistol.
The “Leventines with heart” who brought the title were Aris Saltayiannis (he also made it to the individual final), Nikos Kaniouris and Yiannis Kambouris.
It is worth noting that the women of Panathinaikos took 5th place in the team in the same competition with: Anastasia Exarchakou (she also reached the individual final), Marieta Petropoulou and Maria Valerii.
This was the 6th time Panathinaikos won the Air Pistol Championship after 1983, 1984, 1988, 1991 and 2022.
In addition, this was the 187th shooting title and the 1770th overall for Panathinaikos. This was the 45th cup for Panathinaikos this season and equaled the second best of all time which was in 1971.
