Criminal prosecution was brought against the president of Olympiakos Vangelis Marinakis and the members of the team’s management Giannis Moralis, Costas Karapapas, Michalis Kountouris and Dimitris Agrafiotis for the case of the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis, who lost his life from a naval flare in incidents in Rentis, in December 2023.
The 5 men are accused of the offenses of support; – financing of a criminal organization and the incitement of sports violence and next Tuesday they will be asked to apologize to the 9th ordinary investigator who is handling the large case file with more than 160 defendants for the criminal organization of hooligans whose activities include murder with a naval flare of the MAT police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis.
The members of the administration were not included in the original defendants but the summons is coming to them; approximately seven months after the case was taken over by the specific judicial officer and after dozens of witnesses were examined and additional apologies were given by the defendants.
At the same time, the investigator now has in his hands all the evidence from the video material that was analyzed in the Police Forensic Laboratories. ?
Their involvement
In particular, as it is mentioned about the leadership of PAE OLYMPIAKOS in the case file that was formed after the murder of the unfortunate policeman: “it cannot be ruled out that the criminal organization is directed, covertly and at the highest level, by members of the administration or executives of PAE OLYMPIAKOS (soccer team) and the sports association with the name “OLYMPIC PHILATHLON ASSOCIATION OF PIRAEUS” (O.S.F.P. .), without the participation and “high protection” of which, its leading members of a criminal organization would not have the universal and unquestioning acceptance and obedience of the lower members and consequently the criminal organization would not exist otherwise it would have very limited scope and action…»
