Panathinaikos “sunk” Honved in the packed Serafio and goes to Serbia for qualification!

In front of his fans, who were filled suffocating the Serafio swimming pool, o Panathinaikos celebrated the victory over Honved with a score 14-11as part of his 5th season European Cup and now holds qualification to the quarterfinals in his hands!

His team Dimitris Mazi he didn’t start the match as he would have liked, falling behind with three goals (0-3), however he managed to reduce the difference and at half-time to be within breathing distance of the Hungarians (5-6). In the second half the “clover” noticeably improved his defenseclosing at +2 in the eighth minute (10-8). In the last eight minutes, the hosts had the momentum and thanks to this they widened the difference in their favor, taking the… three points with the final 14-11.

Protagonists in the victory of Panathinaikos were the two strikers of the team, Papanikolaou and Sgouridis, who found the net four times.

With this victory, the Greek team holds, as we mentioned above, the qualification to the next phase of the competition in their hands, as tied with Serbian Sabac – got the better of me Barcelona 12-10– to nine points, which he will face in the last matchday, on December 5thin Serbia. In Athens, the “greens” won by a wide margin of 12-5.

Vouliagmeni finished off Panionios in an episodic match, Apollon achieved the miracle
