Harden: “If I had stayed with the Thunder, we would have won at least two championships”

by

More than a decade may have passed since Mr James Harden withdrew from them Thunder to join the Houston Rocketsbut everyone remembers this season of the Oklahoma club as a huge “what if”.

In addition to the “musia”, the roster then included o Russell Westbrook and the Kevin Durant. In other words, the Thunder then had three future NBA MVPs on their roster, but in the summer of 2012 the Harden he did not get along financially with the management and left in a trade, putting an end to this particular Big-3.

From that point on, the team never even made it to the playoffs Finalsas he had done in 2012 before being defeated by the Hit. In turn, both Durant as well as Westbrook they left, resulting in this triplet breaking up completely, without achieving anything great despite high expectations.

Several years later, Mr Hardenwho now wears their shirt Clipperswas a guest on the Earn Your Leisure podcast and gave his take on what might have happened if the Thunder they wouldn’t let him go because of this little financial dispute that existed between the two sides.

“If we had stayed together and not parted ways for about $4 million, we would have gotten at least two championships.”Harden elaborated, and he’s probably right, since the Thunder they would simultaneously have on the roster three of the top players in the league, in the prime of their game.
