THE Reuben Amorim he might be her sixth-permanent-coach Manchester United since then the club celebrated its trophy for the last time Premier League in 2013, but the 39-year-old said, in his first press conference as the club’s coach, that he is the right man to finally bring it back to its former glory.

“I’m a bit of a dreamer. I believe in myself, I believe in the club, we have the same mentality. I really believe in the players, I know you (the media) don’t believe much, but I do. I want to try new things. You don’t think it’s possible, I do”he said among other things.

Despite only having two training sessions with his new team due to the recent international break, Amorim promises fans to see a difference, but not a major makeover, in the upcoming showdown with Ipswich on Sunday (24/11):

“Simple things I think. We lose the ball too often. We have to be better at running back and we have to be very good at detail. It’s the little things, we need to improve the little things. Understanding the little things, I think that’s what I’m good at.”he said specifically about what he wants to see on the pitch.

THE Amorim he was asked about the difference between his arrival at United and joining Mourinho at Chelsea in 2004 when he became the first Portuguese manager in the Premier League.

“With all the Portuguese coaches, we have shown that we can be the best in the world. But I am different from Mourinho. I remember that time. You looked at Mourinho and you felt he could win everywhere. It’s not the same thing. He was European champion, I wasn’t. Football is different nowadays, I think I am the right person for this moment. I’m young and I try to use it to help my players”he stated among other things.
