Charalambidis: “Congratulations are due to all the players who are in the National Team”

Greece welcomes M. Britain (24/11, 18:30, ERT3, NovaSports 4, sport-fm.gr, News Bulletin 247) in Pylaia for the 4th matchday of the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers, looking for… revenge for the defeat in London before two days.

One day before the match, the direct partner of Vassilis Spanoulis, Kostas Charalambidisspoke about what should be corrected by National team in relation to the previous game, while he congratulated the players who declared themselves “present” in the “blue and white” despite the difficult “calendar”.

In detail what he said:

“The kids are looking forward to the game. We didn’t have the result we wanted in London. We have seen our defensive weaknesses and I believe we will be ready on Sunday. Our mistakes were both offensive and defensive, we didn’t execute some things as we wanted, we didn’t make good reads, we didn’t have quick reaction and correct decisions. We wronged ourselves, because for 17 minutes we played excellently, but we didn’t have the corresponding continuity.

The first half is a guide to the way we want to play. We have three guys who came to help with the effort. Congratulations are due to all the children who are here, but especially to the three who were integrated now despite having obligations in the Euroleague. The national team is an honor and we are all here to give our best. The kids have learned to operate at these rates and are doing everything humanly possible to be ready.”
