The basketball celebration, in view of its match Men’s National Team with her Great Britain at the PAOK Sports Arena (18:30) for the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers, started early in Thessaloniki.
Aristotelous Square was dressed to the nines welcoming his trophies Men’s Eurobasket and his Women’s Eurobasket. Hundreds of fans of the orange ball, young and old, had the opportunity to be photographed with the “holy grails”, but also with legends of the sport, as well as with the two mascots of the major events, Fiona and Marky Mark.
There were the three ambassadors of EuroBasket Women 2025, which will be held in our country, Annie Konstantinidou, Evina Maltsi and Anastasia Kostakis, as well as the legends of the Men’s National Team, Nikos Zisis, Dimitris Diamantidis, Dimos Dikoudis, Lazaros Papadopoulos and Nikos Stavropoulos.
The “present” was also given by the president of the EEC, Evangelos Liolios and the Deputy Minister of Sports, Yannis Vroutsissigning for the utilization of the new indoor gym “Mikra 4”, for the benefit of the National basketball teams. Next to them are the general secretary of the federation, Lambros Takis, the vice-presidents Charalambos Markakis and Yiannis Iliopoulos, the president of ESAKE Vangelis Galatsopoulos, the special secretary Angelos Papanikolaou, the members of the Board of Directors Vassilis Dakouris, Yiannis Tsoumis and Athena Bourkas, as well as the Board of Directors of EKASTH.
