H PAE Aris with her announcement she denies them about threats to the Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Nico Tahiao. Instead, the Thessalonians claim that they simply warned the government and the police about possible protests by the team’s fans.
The announcement:
After what was written in the electronic press about the report of the Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Nikos Tahiaou, to the head of the Appeals Prosecutor’s Office of Thessaloniki regarding alleged threats he received from a major football player, specifically PAE ARIS, for incidents on the opening day of the subway of the city of Thessaloniki, we want to declare in every direction that we respect legality and strive for it.
The report made to Mr. Tahiao, but also to the Director of the Thessaloniki Police Directorate Brigadier General Mr. Evangelos Mourzinos, on behalf of Mr. Theodorou Karypidis was intended to prevent deviant situations and events related to the behavior of individuals outside the control of the PAE ARIS administration and related to possible protests by fans of the team for the imposition of an administrative sanction by the Permanent Committee for Combating Violence (DEAB .), in particular the holding of two sports meetings of ARIS as host without the presence of spectators in any official national event that participates.
We legally challenged the said administrative sanction before the administrative justice, declaring at the same time that we too celebrate the opening of the Thessaloniki metro and detest any kind of blind hooliganism and directed fandom.
Legitimacy is our flag, we fight for it and we also strive for all the actors of our Organized State to have a fair attitude towards PAE ARIS.
