Epic reversal of Levadeako with magician Zini, sank Athens Kallithea!

by

Zini did… miraclessigned a mythical reversal for Levadeiakos and… sank Athens Kallithea! The showdown that brought down its curtain 14th round of the Stoiximan Super Leagueit was supposed to be the most “satisfying”, since the Viotia team can found himself behind at 2-0 on the Avenue, though a goal from Kostis and a hat-trick from the formidable young Angolanthey brought the complete come back for the team of Nikos Papadopoulos who prevailed with the emphatic 4-2!

THE Isimat-Mirren and Ediage the goals of Athens Kallitheawhich has a… mountain to climb, as with eight points it is “stuck” at the bottom of the standings. On the other hand, Levadeiakos escaped to +5 from the last place and at the same time put Lamia under him.

Panathinaikos will be welcomed by the Voiotians in the next matchday, Olympiakos will be hosted by the Attica team.

In the minds of the coaches:

Massimo Donati lined up Athens Kallithea with the well-known recipe, as he again chose the 3-5-2. Gelios in goal, with Mirren, Pasalidis and Motok in the stoppers. Soiri on the right, New on the left, with Diba-Matija in midfield and Demetrius, Valbuena behind Lucina.

On the other hand, Nikos Papadopoulos chose the 4-2-1-3 for Levadeiakos. Garavelis in goal, Kassos on the right, Vichos on the left and Tsapras, Katris in the stoppers. Tsokai, Kostis the two midfielders, Balchi in a free role and Zini, Gianniotas, Romo in the attack.

The match:

Extremely aggressive at the start of the match, Levadeiakos tried to surprise Kallithea and take the lead just after 23″, but Gianniota’s strong shot found the left post of Gelios and went wide.

The team of Nikos Papadopoulos did not change their approach and in the 3rd minute almost took the lead, but Motok sent the ball with projection… just a corner from Zini’s turn.

The home team increased their intensity, but also their measures on the pitch and in the 19th minute they scored the final goal with Valbuena’s shot going wide. A little later, the Viotia team reached 1-0. Very nice action from Zini from the left, the Angolan feinted, brought the ball to the right and with a great shot, sent the ball over Gelio’s post.

In the next phase and against the flow of the match, Athens Kallithea opened the scoring. Valbuena committed a foul, the ball was badly cleared by Kassos and Isimat-Miren beat Garavelis with a spot kick for 1-0!

Donati, in fact, immediately after the goal proceeded to make a forced change with Diba feeling discomfort and giving his place to Ediage. In fact, the Senegalese just before the end of the first half, specifically in the 43rd minute, tried to beat Garavelis, but his long shot went wide.

In the first minute of stoppage time, Levadeiakos “touched” the equalizer. On the ball in the area, Romo made a header-pass to Balchi, but he, however, did not place well and was beaten in the 4-a-4 by Gelio.

The two coaches may not have made any changes, but the second half started with the best omens! And that’s because just seven minutes after the start, the home team found a way to score a second goal. Levadeiakou’s corner with Valbuena taking a corner and the ball reaching the area, with Ediage taking advantage of the counterattacks and placing perfectly into the closed corner for 2-0!

Athens Kallithea’s lead, however, only lasted for three minutes! And that’s because amazing inspiration of Kostis to launch a long shot, he was justified, as the ball ended up, with the help of Gelios in the net for 2-1 which gave a new twist to the match!

The field, now, had “descended” and Levadeiakos was looking for the reversal. The team of Nikos Papadopoulos, after the triple change made by the Greek coach, found a way to equalize. In the 63rd minute, Motok scored under pressure bad chaseTsapras made the cross and Zini with one fantastic heel in motion he made it 2-2!

Before the home team even realized what had happened, Levadeiakos managed to turn the match upside down! Only 13 minutes after reducing the score, the Viotia team reached a total reversal, when from the corner of Vicho, Motok lost his personal duel, the ball reached Zini who signed the 2-3 with a header from contact!

Donati tried to shuffle the deck for his side to level, with Valbuena executing a excellent foul which Garavelis cleared in a corner with overpowering in the 77th minute.

With the completion of 90 minutes in the match, Zini “touched” the hat-trick, when he stole the ball from the left, stepped into the area and shot, but with the tips of his fingers, Gelios sent the ball onto the post and into the corner.

Athens Kallithea made her despair trying to find an equalizing goal, but it didn’t come, since Levadeiakos reached a fourth goal. Symelidis ran alone against Gelios, he overthrew him and the Resident showed the white arrow. Zini took over the execution and completed his great performance with a hat-trick for the 4-2 final of Levadeakou at 90’+7′.

MVP: No one else could take this title but Zini! The Angolan once again was pivotal, since he had two posts and two goals with which he signed the total reversal for his team!

The “whistle”: Constantinos Katikos went unnoticed in the match, which managed the match correctly and made proper use of the cards, which were… plentiful!
