Biggest contract in sports history – Juan Soto breaks every record!

by

Every salary record was broken by the deal, which now has an official character. THE Juan Soto signed the relevant contracts, making himself the highest paid athlete in the history of all sports.

What wages are we talking about? The deal signed by batter from the Dominican Republic is valid for next 15 years with his bank accounts to… increase in these years by 765 million dollarsthat is, approximately 730 million euros. The team that offered this contract to Soto is the New York Mets.

On average his earnings Soto annually will amount to 51 million dollars.

And if in our country baseball does not have so many… fans, it is one of the most beloved sports in the USA, in which the previous record of salary in a contract was recorded. This was owned by the Japanese, Sohei Otami who had signed ten-year contract with $700 million in salary. Although longer than his Japanese counterpart, Soto’s contract is longer as the money listed on his contract is more as in Otami’s case the deferred payments (guaranteed contract installments) amount to 680 million dollars while in his case Soto the deferred payments are the whole contract that is, 765 million dollars.

Soto is 26 years old having already played for three teams, the Washington Nationals, the San Diego Padres and the New York Yankees.
