The unbeaten Panathinaikos also passed through Livadia with the “signature” of Ioannidis!

THE Panathinaikos prevailed 1-0 Levadeikou at “Lambros Katsonis”, for its 15th matchday Stoiximan Super Leaguethus expanding the winning streak of in the province to five matches.

The goal that was supposed to give the “three points” to the “greens”, who, despite not being that good, had other opportunities for a bigger score, but did not take advantage of them against the well-matched Viotia team, came from Ioannidis with a header in the 60th minute, at first of this year’s goal in the league.

Thus, Panathinaikos reached them 29 pointsrose to third place – with a match in hand – while next matchday they welcome Athens Kallithea. While Levadeakos was kept at 13 points, it remained 12th and is hosted by AEK, also next Sunday (12/22).

The match:

Panathinaikos put its foot on the… accelerator, pushed and, having the his defense almost in midfieldmade three phases for goals in the first… five minutes of the match! With Pelistri missing two of them and Ingason seeing Garavelis overpowering his header at the second post, at 5′.

Levadeiakos was waiting at 2/3 of the field for his opponent, pressing after the first pass and looking to hit the counter. Like in the 7th minute, with Osbolt breaking away from Ingason-Gedvai, but completely misplacing Dragovski…

Continuing to have control and possession, but also winning corners without capitalizing on them, the Greens had their next great chance to score from one. When, in the 14th minute, the ball reached Vagiannidis, who shot from a distance with forceIoannidis made the projection from close range, but could not send the ball into the goal.

From that point on, the pace dropped, while the home side succeeded to keep the ball a little longer in their possessionthereby not allowing their opponent to threaten.

To complete half an hour of competition and record it the next remarkable phaseagain on the part of Panathinaikos. As from Pelistri’s movement from the right, Ioannidis took the ball, shot at the closed corner of Garavelis, but he blocked with a double effort.

With Levadeiakos consistently serving the plan of Nikos Papadopoulos, properly closing the spaces, sometimes with double markings, so that the two teams go to the locker room tied without a score.

The second half started like the first: With the visitors having the first chance to score, but Mancini not being able to beat Garavelis, in the 48th minute.

While, six minutes later, Papadopoulos made a triple change, turning his team’s formation into a 4-5-1 at the same time, seeing that the opponent has closed him in his frames.

Plega’s long shot in the 59th minute found Dragovski on hand and in the very next phase, Panathinaikos managed to capitalize on a “set up” ball, opening the score at the same time… As from Bakaseta’s corner kick from the right, Ioannidis headed the ball into Garaveli’s net and made a savefor 0-1 in the 60th minute!

Rui Vitoria “freshened up” his team, who continued to look for a second goal to clear the match, with the entrance of Djuricic giving her “breath”. After all, he was also the protagonist in the next three good phases of Panathinaikos, in the 69th minute, with his shot going wide, in the 70th minute, when Mancini was unable to send the ball into the net from his charge, while in the 75th minute he missed himself again…

Entering the final stretch of the match, the “clover” proceeded to manage, Vitoria made two more changes, while despite Levadeiakou’s attempt to threaten, he practically failed… never, with 0-1 remaining until the end.

MVP: He was a goalkeeper in the championship and at the same time gave his team the “three points”, getting the required psychology! For him Fotis Ioannidis the reason, with the international center forward having an active participation in the Panathinaikos game, but also missing a couple more chances to score, before the 0-1.

the “whistle”: Referee Papapetrou went unnoticed in the game, as… should be done with the referees normally! He did not have any difficult phase, while he was also correct in the disciplinary control.
