Mediliber: “The level has risen, there are no teams with bad players – Everyone is fighting with their neighbors…”

“It was definitely a bad result and in football it’s the results that count. I, however, as a coach need to analyze more things. I’m re-watching the game to analyze why we lost points. We didn’t beat the last team in the table and that’s very bad, but the games are not a phase. There are other things.

We tried hard, we persevered a lot, we created several chances and in yet another match we were rarely threatened. These are also important. We definitely have to win the games. We definitely need the points and the confidence that wins give you. But it is important to persevere and create as many opportunities as possible and at the same time not to be threatened by the opponent at all”.



For what is the solution so that Olympiacos does not have difficulties in this type of match:



“For sure these games are more difficult for us. In the last game, for example, if an early goal had been scored it would probably have changed the shape of the game. If we were more efficient in the many chances we created then maybe the next goals would come more easily and we would be talking about a completely different result.

Unfortunately we were not on target. Also, it has to do with the way the opponent plays, but also with the quality of the opponent. The level has gone up. There are no teams that have bad players. The quality is better. Everyone analyzes and knows us better too. Throughout the league the differences are more balanced and there are no easy matches. All games are difficult and you have to score when you’re at your best to win them.”



For his wishes for the new year:



“What I wish is that we all be in good health and have as few problems as possible. To solve all the conflicts that exist in the world, which is very difficult because we see that everyone is fighting with their neighbors and this is something that I would like not to see. You visit a hospital and see what is really important in life. So I want to wish health and that everyone can overcome the problems they have”.
