Malezas is officially on the Athens Kallithea bench

Massimo Donati’s successor was announced by Athens Kallithea.

The Athenian club formalized its agreement with Stelio Malezawho as a coach had been on the Makedonikos bench as well as on the K19 of PAOK.

Athens Kallithea FC announces that Stelios Malezas has taken over as first team coach.

Malezas, the 39-year-old former Greek international and captain of PAOK, was named Best Super League 2 Group A Coach in the 2023/24 season for his tenure on the Macedonian bench.

Previously, he coached PAOK’s U19 team for three seasons, winning the Super League U19 championship in the 2020/21 season.

In his football career, Malezas wore the black and white with PAOK for 11 seasons, winning the Super League title in 2018/19 and the Greek Cup for three consecutive seasons from 2016/17 to 2018/19, and making 241 appearances. with the team in all competitions, including 26 appearances in UEFA competitions. He spent two more seasons in the Super League with Panaitolikos and Xanthi and another two seasons in Germany with Fortuna Dusseldorf.

As an international, Malezas has three caps with the Greek National Team, and was a member of the 23-man squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2012 UEFA European Championship.
