The Bucks without Giannis and Lillard, but with a terrific Portis, defeated the Wizards

by

Bobby Portis started in place of Giannis Antetokounmpo in the Bucks’ starting lineup and deservedly filled his absence, scoring a season-high 34 points in the Bucks’ 112-101 win over the Wizards at the Fiserv Forum.

A very good performance from Khris Middleton, who had 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the Stags, while Portis finished the game with a double-double with 10 rebounds and 8 assists.

Giannis was sidelined with back problems, missing his third game of the season, and the Bucks were without Lillard, who has a calf injury after Milwaukee’s NBA Cup win, but will be back to normal against the Bulls.

Rookie Ryan Rollins started in Lillard’s place, scoring 14 points in 31 minutes, Brook Lopez had 14 and Gary Train had 15 and 7 rebounds.

On the other hand, those who stood out for Washington were Jordan Poole with 26 points, while Bilal Koulibaly had a “double” with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
