After his election, the new president of ELOT, Christos Manolis, said: “It is a very important moment for the sport of taekwondo, as after several years there is a change of management. From the first day of our candidacy, we announced a ground-breaking and innovative program for the development of our sport and this will start our thinking every day. I want to thank everyone who showed us their trust by voting for a new page in Greek taekwondo under the slogan that united us: TOGETHER!

For his part, Michalis Mourotsos emphasized: “Today is a historic day and for this reason my joy is great and double. On the one hand, because after many years a group of people led by Christos Manolis and myself, managed to win the administration of the federation and on the other hand, because a personal goal of mine was achieved and I was elected as a representative in the Hellenic Olympic Committee. I think that this team has a lot of appetite, we intend to unite all taekwondo and with teamwork to get taekwondo to where it deserves, that is to say in a new era of Olympic medals”.
