Gladstone announced the Orestiada team

Gladstone Juniors became a volleyball player of the Orestiada team on Thursday. The Akrites announced the acquisition of the 27-year-old Brazilian center for the rest of this season, with him returning after two years at the club, having left Keratea a few days ago and having the experience of being in several Volley teams in the past Men’s League.

“The administration of TAA Athlos Orestiada is pleased to announce the start of its cooperation with the 27-year-old Brazilian center Gladstone Junior, who after two years returns to Orestiada to strengthen our team again in the pursuit of distinction in the rest of the Volley season League 2024-2025.

Gladstone Magalhaes de Jesus, as is the full name of the Brazilian blocker, was born on 02/28/1997 in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais State and is 2.07m tall. He started his career at the age of 10 and, in addition to the Brazilian teams, he has significant international experiences from the French League and the Greek stadiums. Apart from our team, he has competed successfully in the top division in Pamvochaikos, Aristoteli Skydras, Iraklis and AOP Kifissia. This season, he strengthened the effort of GS Kerateas for distinction in A2 Men’s.

In the 2017-18 season as an athlete of Pamvohaikus, Gladstone was named the top server and ninth best server in the league, while the following year he was the second best server.

Earlier, he had excelled in Brazil with Uberlandia Tenis Clube (UTC), Sesi Sao Paulo U19, Volei Renata/Campinas U21, Sao Jose Volei and Monte Christo. However, he also had distinctions in France, as in his two-year presence in the French championship with the “colors” of Poitiers, he was crowned French cup winner in 2019-2020.

At the national team level, the ‘giant’ of our team was an international player with the Brazilian under-19 team, with whom he was a finalist in the South American championship.”
