Renato Augusto loses balance in half and Corinthians defeats Cuiabá

Chosen as a center forward in previous games, Renato Augusto used the match against Cuiabá to show that his position is the midfielder. The guard scored a great goal and was the best on the field in Corinthians’ victory by 3-2, this Saturday (13th), at Neo Química Arena.

The choice of coach Sylvinho to put him in charge of the attack against Atlético-MG last Wednesday (10), generated criticism. The team lost 3-0 and was dominated by the opponent in Mineirão.

This Saturday, the coach chose Jô as a reference at the front and returned the midfielder to his natural position. And he was the main focus of the team that, with the victory, remained in the classification zone for the 2022 Libertadores, with 50 points, in the 5th position of the Brazilian Championship.

“Sometimes, the game asks you for some situations. We have to act according to what the match asks for. Coming from behind, I feel better, but I want to help,” said Renato Augusto after the match.
