Marios Tzavidas announced his retirement from football at the age of just 21!
The young man was essentially forced to hang up his shoes due to a health problem and as he states in a post he made on Instagram, after examining all the options, the most appropriate thing would be to step away from professional football at the level championship.
His brother, Spyros, was led to the same decision exactly 3 years ago, when on 13/01/2022 he announced that he was retiring from active action, due to a serious health issue.
What Marios Tzavidas wrote in detail:
“Over the past few months I have been faced with a challenge regarding my future as a professional footballer, which ultimately led me to make an important decision. After considering all options, it was decided that it would be best for me to step away from professional football at the championship level. My family and I believe that it would be best for me to take absolutely no future risk. I would like to thank everyone who helped me all these years, from Panathinaikos to Atromitos, from the players to the caregivers, the coaches, the physiotherapists as well as all the coaching staff that I had all these years in the infrastructure of the National Team . I’m grateful for everything I’ve experienced and learned over the years as well as the friendships I’ve made that will last a lifetime. Thank you for everything!!!».
