Matias Lessor demonstrated his dedication to basketball and Panathinaikos, as well as his characteristic fighting spirit, before the match against Virtus Bologna for the Euroleague.
It’s been almost a month since the night the French center “froze” OAKA with his shock fibula injury that will keep him out of action for at least another three months. This was followed by the renewal of his contract with Panathinaikos until 2028 and his… emotional decision to train sitting in a chair and with the special rehabilitation boot on his foot.
Speaking on the Euroleague channel, Matias Lesor revealed that Panathinaikos had not given him permission to trainwhich is no longer the case since the people on the team gave it their approval.
“I just love basketball and miss the court. I miss training. I actually did it without let’s say the team’s permission the first time and someone from the stand was filming me so I told everyone I saw coming to the gym that now I’m going to do it the official way too, but I know that’s good for I’m around there. To feel that I am close to the team even if I still have time to be with my teammates.”
See you on the court soon @ThiasLsf ??@Paobcgr pic.twitter.com/pULncaxtMu
