Great move for Panionios. The team of Nea Smyrni announced the start of its cooperation with the very experienced Dragan Nesicin the women’s volleyball section.
The Serbian coach has many years of experience with his conquest as a highlight Challenge Cup in 2009 with the Italian Monte Ciavo. In the 2023-2024 season he led the Panathinaikos in winning the championship.
“I am very happy to have come to Panionios. Our primary goal is to be in the playoffs and from there to achieve the best we can. It won’t be easy because I know the league is very competitive. It’s a new challenge for all of us and I hope we succeed”the Serb said after the deal was announced.

The governing committee of its women’s volleyball division Panioni announces the start of its collaboration with Dragan Nesic. The Serbian coach has many years of experience, the highlight of which was winning the Challenge Cup in 2009 with the Italian Monte Ciavo.
At a collective level, it has gone through Rapid Bucharest, Maccabi Haifa, Canakkale, Targovice, Caserta, Bari, Galatasaray and Monte Ciavowhile in the 2023-2024 season he led the Panathinaikos in winning the championship.
At the same time, the 54-year-old technician has been a federal coach in Bulgarian women’s national team (2014-16) and Montenegro (2016-17), as well as in the Serbian U20 National Team (1997).
