by

The 16th Polish League Ping Pong match has reserved another spectacular and exciting … Civil Warning Athletes of our National Team! On the one hand, Panagiotis Gionis of Bogoria, on the other is Konstantinos Angelakis of Bialistok.

Teammates not only in our representative band, but also in Panathinaikos. They countered at the beginning of the race that took place at the headquarters of the first and raised the audience. Gionis prevailed with a 3-2 set and in the six points of the fifth set, Angelakis smiled in the end because Bialistok “broke” with a 3-1 set in Bogkoria’s unbeaten 14 games!

Angelakis with Yiannis Sgouropoulos had met in the autumn and that match was judged in the five sets (the second had prevailed).

Bogkoria is also preparing for the quarter -finals with Viennese Nistant in the Champions League. On Friday afternoon at 7pm is the match in Mazovieki and Gionis’ team has the big advantage with a 3-0 set in Austria.

In the Super League of Poland, Bogoria walks towards the playoffs with almost the first -time lead, but her series could not last forever. As the Polish Federation’s website noted, the fantastic, about 11 months old, broke a winning course in the league. The team is now leading with 35 points and is 3 ahead of the second Nzialdovo. Angelakis’ club will fight for a medal this year.

In the Sunday derby, the great Greek defenders of two different generations first entered the table. They offered the spectators wonderful moments in a balanced game with interesting fluctuation. Gionis got the first set 11-8, Angelakis responded 11-4 and 11-9 and the first equalized with a new marginal difference (11-9).

According to the league’s regulations, the fifth set expires for anyone who reaches 6 and not 11 points, as in recent years in the European teams. Gionis yielded very well and won it 6-0.

Bogkoria, however, lost the next individual sets, the last with her 6-time Olympian athlete, who was bent by Japanese Asuka Maki 3-1. Angelakis did not play another individual game, but the point is that he saw two positive results from Maki and one from Polish Patrick Tsoinovsky for the great dominance.

Also, for the 16th match, Glivicce lost 3-0 as a guest by Balta Gdansk, last year’s team of George Stamatouros.
