To Venetian Loggiaan iconic point of Heraklion, was presented by time capsulewhich will bring together memories of half a century of life of the basketball cup. All eight participating groups were present at OPAP Final of 8 Men’s Cupwho placed their own relics in the time capsule, which will find its place in the basketball museum in a few years.

The Greek Cup complements 50 years of life, every game, every trophy is part of our cultural heritage. Basketball in Greece is a mirror of our society. The cup has hosted myths that have written history. This year we are celebrating half a century with a special action, a symbolic journey in the past that will bring to future generations the magic of the Cup. Sleeps have already been placed by the federation, but more will be completed. We will have struggle leaves that wrote history, photos, jerseys of athletes who honored basketball, but the most important are memories, emotions, festivities that have joined generations of fans. Today, coaches and leaders will leave their own footprint in history leaving objects there and sealed at the end of OPAP Final 8 until the creation of the basketball museum ready in 2028 in a place to be announced.
