Champions League draws quarter-final games; see the clashes

On Friday morning, UEFA held the draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The main clash will be between Chelsea, current champions, against Real Madrid, the biggest winner of the tournament with 13 cups.

Another interesting duel will put Pep Guardiola face to face with Diego Simeone. Manchester City, of the Catalan coach, face Atlético de Madrid, of the Argentine coach, repeating clashes that the two made in the Spanish Championship at the beginning of the last decade.

The other two games will have the surprises of this quarter-final stage.

Villarreal, who eliminated Juventus with a 3-0 victory in Turin, will face Bayern Munich, champions of the 2019/2020 edition.

Benfica, who knocked Ajax out of the Champions League, faces Liverpool, who won the title in the 2018/2019 season under the command of Jürgen Klopp.

In the semi-finals, the winner of Chelsea vs Real Madrid will meet the winner of Manchester City vs Atletico Madrid, while the winner of Villarreal vs Bayern takes whoever passes from Benfica vs Liverpool.

The quarter finals will be played between the 5th and 6th and 12th and 13th of April. The semi duels will take place between April 26 and 27 and May 3 and 4.

The Champions League final is scheduled for May 28 at the Stade de France in Paris, which has replaced St Petersburg’s Arena Gazprom due to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
