Children and bike as a means of sports, moving and entertainment at the center of PPC Tour of Hellas 2025

The PPC Tour of Hellas 2025 racing spectacle starts on April 2 from Patras, its fourth year after the revival as an upgraded event in the UCI calendar, and is preparing to be established as the largest international annual sporting event our country.

Next to the stars of world cycling, thousands of city children crossed by PPC Tour of Hellas 2025, on the 5 exciting days of its routes, will experience unique moments of joy and positive energy with their bikes at PPC Fan Zones, which include a multitude of parallel actions.

The events and training prepared by the two Organizing Committees of the Ministry of Sport, “Cyclinggreece”, and “Athletic, Olympic, Paralympic Education, History and Values” they put the cycling in the center as a dominant means of movement, Sport and entertainment with the central message of the race, Power up the race.

As Deputy Minister of Sports Yiannis Broutsis points out:

“The national bicycle strategy, for which three ministries work closely, sports, infrastructure & transport and energy & environment, aims to make our cities viable, motivating all citizens to integrate exercise into their daily lives, but also to raise them to alternative ways of moving.

Bike, the first love of every child, is a dominant means of succeeding, to make our cities better.

Through the parallel actions of PPC Tour of Hellas 2025, we train the younger generation to put the bike into her life. “

The actions that embrace children as precursors but also alongside PPC Tour of Hellas 2025 are:

;E-bikes and interactive games for young and old from PPC: Exhibition of new bicycle models with electric assist and free testing of bicycles of different categories for everyone and everyone. The aim is for the interested parties to find the type of bike that best suits their own needs, making them easier and more viable to move to the city, while choosing a different way of exercising and entertaining. PPC Fan Zone guests will also have the opportunity to take part in interactive games and unique, Power up PPC, souvenir gifts focused on the bike.

;Hero 2030 Skills Track: An original skill cycling track for children 6 years and older, dedicated to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Objectives.

;From home to school: Floor educational, entertaining cycling game, where children learn the signals of the Road Traffic Code.

;Look mom I am bike: The first acquaintance with the bike, with balance bicycles on a mini track.

;The chest of lost pelt: The fun cycling treasure hunt. An educational game of action and learning.

;I am safely cycling in my city: Young and old come to acquaintance with bike, and urban cycling, through educational slides with special references to road safety, preparation for bike use and many other useful information.

;I paint my bike and my city: The bike becomes a source of artistic inspiration. Children paint the most beautiful bike images.

;Sport with values, without substances: The Educational Team of the National Organization for Doping (EOKKA) presents prevention and information programs on the value of pure sport.

;I am learning about first aid: The trained volunteers of the Greek Red Cross show the first aid and actions we can do as cyclists in incidents of fall and injuries.

;I maintain my bike properly: Seminar from the most special bicycle technicians for the most proper use of the bike, the service before and after use, the best way of changing tires & a free control of the bicycles of our little friends.

;Bike Bikes: Athletic and Cultural Associations with a bike are crossing cities with positive energy.

;Draws and gifts: Bicycles, helmets, protection accessories and other surprises for lucky small and big cyclists, offer our sponsors Regency Casino, Akto, Gatsoulis Bikes, Kassimatis Cycling, SuperFast Ferries.

In addition, in collaboration with the Hellenic Cycling Federation, educational visits will take place in twenty (20) cities of the cities that will be passed by PPC Tour of Hellas, to initiate pupils in the sport of cycling.

Also, precursors will take place in the municipalities, Vari Vouliagmeni (9/3), Ilioupolis (16/3) and Spaton Artemis (23/3).
