In the presence of EPO President Maki Gagatsis, who triggered the implementation of the Renaissance Development Program, the EPO’s second four -day collaboration with the Dutch organization, OneForthegame, was completed, with the aim of creating a sustainable and effective model for Greek football.
Mr. Gagatsis, during the completion of the workshop, pointed out that the progress and upgrading of development football alongside the creation of the “home” of the national teams is a absolute priority of the administration: “From the first day of our administration, we have set the primary objective of upgrading the national teams, the creation of the training center, the national home, and of course the upgrade of development football. Mr Vrakas with Mr. Hadjimarinakis, who have undertaken the implementation of the Renaissance program, and the EPO executives involved in the program, have my full support and the Executive Committee, to move forward, to improve football from his base, to the young age. It’s time to get from theory to practice and this workshop was the first step to carry out. Clearly there will be difficulties, as is the case with anything new. However, we are all here to support the Renaissance program and his vision for Greek football. Along with the creation of the National Athletic Center, this is our fundamental goal and I am convinced that it will be implemented. It’s time for progress. Each country has its own identity and the crew of time has come to acquire our own football. “
Concerning the work of the seminar, which included Legends and Technical Directors of the Super League 1, Mr. Gagatsis emphasized that the presence and contribution of legends, the people who gave us unique moments, as well as the brutal attendance Legends, of the people who have elevated Greek football at the top and gave us unique moments in the past, coupled with the presence of Super League 1 Team Teams, makes it clear to everyone, how important and necessary for Greek football is the implementation of the “Renaissance” program.
In summary, the President of the EPO stated the following: “As an administration we are here to leave our own footprint, our own legacy in football we love, and we will do this with the help of all responsible. Development football is our absolute priority, and I am sure it is time for its maximum exploitation to move through the theoretical plan prepared, in practice. “
Through the program, the EPO stands consistently in its commitment to continue working to upgrade football in our country, with the aim of developing new talents and enhancing education at young age. The work and discussions developed in the workshop (23-26/02) in view of the implementation of the Renaissance program focus on the participants’ common desire for the progress and development of Greek football. During the seminar, acclaimed infrastructure and development professionals have contributed to their experience and know -how to shaping a new creative framework aimed at the future progress of the sport.
The participation of the legends of the national team reinforced the connection of the new generation of football players with the country’s glorious football past, offering significant guidance for upgrading the sport through the Renaissance program, which is based on Johann Cruyff’s model and has been successful
