Panathinaikos table tennis teams are located in the coastal town of Igalo in Montenegro and from Friday to Friday until next Sunday they are hunting for a new trophy at the Europe Trophy Grand Finals. Twelve unions in men, ten in women, with Panathinaikos starting his ambitious attempt as number 1 favorite in both categories.

In 2022, in the inaugural year of the third European Cup, this year’s only representative of the Greek table tennis had celebrated the lead in women, in 2024 it reached a similar success in men, now dreaming of living with the top two.

In the men’s Europe Trophy Grand Final, Panathinaikos meets the Belgian Logis Auderghem TT on Friday in the first group from Bosnia/Herzegovina.

He lined up with Konstantinos Angelakis, Constantine Constantinopoulos and George Constantinopoulos.

Qualifying at the FINAL OF ATTICA CUP AND GIONI AWARDING

A few hours before departure for Montenegro, the same trio gave Nea Smyrna the Attica Cup semifinal with Panionios, this year’s champion of the Second National Attica. He was naturally imposed with a 4-0 set and qualified for the final to face AEK, which in the other semifinals had won the Espero Kallithea in the other semifinal.

In the context of this match, Panionios awarded the legendary Panagiotis Gionis of six appearances in the Olympics for his priceless contribution to the sport. Later, the Panathinaikos athlete was photographed with young athletes of the club and signed autographs.

At the women’s Europe Trophy Grand Final, Panathinaikos also wants the first group of Austrian Uttc Panacea Stokerau and the Serbian Josip Kolumbo of Malamates Papadimitriou.

On Thursday, he went to Igalo with Katerina Toliou, Konstantina Paridis, Ioanna Gerasimatou and on Saturday awaits the integration of Slovenian Anna Tofad. Lefteris Makras and Nikos Zervas will be under the technical guidance of the teams, while Tasos Symeonidis took over.

In the quarter -finals the first two of each group are qualified to move on with the knockout system.

IMMEDIATELY FROM THE SPANIS

Toliu was not on the Panathinaikos mission who departed from Athens, because on Wednesday he had a racing obligation with Haen, the Spanish team in which he is competing for a second year. He went to Montenegro directly from the Iberian country, coming from an excellent appearance.

Today’s Greek women’s champion of ordinary women contributed greatly to a 4-1 set in the important match against Taula Tramountana for the 17th match. It prevailed in both games 3-0 against international Jana Riera (Spain) and Nicole Arlia (Italy).

There are three games remaining and Hena is in eighth place with 15 points in a total of 11 teams. It is one point from sixth place, the last to give a European “ticket”.
