For favorable treatment of Arsenalas well as other three clubs, from Premier League speaks the Manchester City.
As the Times reveals, in a complaint made in early March, City launched an attack on Premier League attempt to modify sponsorship rules declared illegal and invalid by an independent court.
City claimed that Arsenal, as well as Brighton, Everton and Leicester, had an unfair advantage. The champions claim that the shareholders’ loans worth hundreds of millions of pounds in these four clubs do not have the same treatment as the other “Associated Party Transactions” (APT). In essence, they say that the loans of these groups allow the owners to lend to clubs with their own money.
However, the court concluded that these rules were “invalid and inappropriate” and City now argues that there must be a return to the rules that were valid until 2021 until the issues were resolved.
