Winners Bivot and Hirpa in the Paris Marathon

Kenyati Bernard Bivot won the second Marathon his on Sunday at Parisfinishing in 2 hours 5 minutes 25 seconds and improving his personal record after leaving behind all his competitors 10 kilometers before the finish.

At the age of almost 23, the African runner only participated in his second career race at this distance, after Frankfurt in October 2024, where he also had a leader.

Ibrahim Hassan (Djibouti), who was the only one who followed Kenyatis in his acceleration, finished second in 2 hours 6 minutes 13 seconds, in front of another Kenyatis, Silas Kypto, who broke his personal record for almost two minutes.

In women, the Jerk From Ethiopa, she defeated her compatriot Dera Dunda after a long battle and by a few meters, with a 2 -hour performance of 20 minutes 45 seconds.

In its 25 years, Hirpa won the second marathon of the year, as it had first taken over in Dubai.

After receding in the last meters, Dunda finished in 2 hours 20 minutes 49 seconds. The Kenyan runner Angela Tanoui took the last place on the podium with a time of 2 hours 21 minutes and 7 seconds.
