24 medals for Greece at ‘Alexander the Great’

In the most impressive way, the curtain of the Taekwondo International Taekwondo Tournament “Alexander the Great”, held in Thessaloniki.

The last day of the races, great matches reserved and the athletes won the applause from the audience that filled the HANTH indoor gym. The G1 rated tournament has gathered the best athletes, who were aiming to score points for the Ranking List.

In total, Greece measured 24 medals at men and women’s level on the 4th day of “Alexander the Great”. Specifically, the Greek mission had a rich report with a harvest of seven gold, seven silver and ten bronze.

Greece has experienced the universal recognition of both the representatives of the World Federation and the athletes from 39 countries, who were completely satisfied with the organization and level of the races.

“Alexander the Great” was honored with their presence by Thessaloniki Mayor Stelios Angeloudis, as well as the Deputy Mayor of Sport, Youth and Volunteering Koula Giannakidou. The mayor of Thessaloniki, in his greeting, expressed the desire for this event to become an institution in the city and increasing every year.

The international tournament was co -organized by the Hellenic Federation of Taekwondo and the Municipality of Thessaloniki, while sponsors of the Games were Olympus Sports and Aegean College.
