From June 2 to June 8, 2025, Thessaloniki turns into the center of international sailing, as it hosts the 49er / 49erfx / Nacra 17 Pan -European Championship, the first big racing appointment after the 2024 Olympics.
With participation from more than 32 countries and the presence of world champions and Olympic champions, the race is a top station on the road to the Los Angeles Olympics 2028.
The event has attracted hundreds of athletes, coaches and members of missions from around the world, and is expected to provide the public with an impressive spectacle in the Thermaikos Gulf.
The opening ceremony will take place on Monday, June 2 at 8:30 pm, at the facilities of the Naval Station of Northern Greece, marking the official start of a week full of tension, speed and athletic excellence.
