After three years, the roads of Michalis Bakakis and Panetolikos are going to separate permanently.
The experienced right back started his football life from the Agrinio team, until 2014 he left for AEK and in the summer of 2022 he returned to the Panetolianwhere he emerged.
Since then, the 34 -year -old defender has spent three full seasons in the club and, upon completion of his contract, is going to leave the team.
With a moving message, through social media, the Michalis Bakakis bid farewell to the club’s clubs and friends, while left spikes for the way in which he leaves.
In detail what Michalis Bakakis said:
“In view of the end of my contract and after three full years, it’s time to say my goodbye.
A goodbye that is not easy, because Panetolikos was not just a team for me, it was part of my life.
From a child in the academies, I grew up with this signal on the chest. I lived the historical rise from the 3rd National, the successive rises, the dream of the First National. I came to take the step further, transcribed to AEK, one of the largest teams in the country. And I came back, because I wanted to offer again to this club that made me up.
Three years now, I gave everything. With respect, faith and dignity. But I learned in my life that when your value is not recognized, then the only way is the decent retirement. And that’s what I do today. I leave quietly with my conscience and proud of my journey.
I would like to thank the world of Panetolikos from the heart. You have always been my strength. Your love is not forgotten.
I wish the team will live a successful year, worthy of its 100 -year history. “
