His own “goodbye” to Panathinaikos was said by Sunny Betsirovic. In a statement, Slovenian bid farewell to the “clover”, noting that he would always have it in his heart.
In detail his statement:
«Dear Friends of Panathinaikos,
I want to express my sincere gratitude for your incredible support for the last two years, full of transformations, challenges and unforgettable achievements. I will remember this trip forever.
When they trusted my responsibility to help the Panathinaikos reform in his old European glory, I felt a profound honor. Together, we rekindled the roar and spirit of the OAKA, embodying the essence of this legendary club.
I am extremely proud to have been a member of the Greens Family again, bringing joy to our fans and contributing to the success of the team.
I would also like to thank Euroleague, the Hellenic Federation, the Greek Championship, all the agendas, players, coaches, staff and staff of the Panathinaikos office, with whom I had the pleasure of working together.
Most importantly, I would like to thank Mr. Dimitris Giannakopoulos for his confidence and gave me the opportunity to participate in this great project.
Your support, respect and professionalism have made a real privilege every day in this role.
Although this chapter is over, I look back with pride. Last season’s success and the progress we made this year, despite obstacles, are achievements I will always keep in my heart.
In our profession, the results say a lot and leave knowing that I gave everything to this club every day.
I wish Panathinaikos and his incredible followers only lasting successes. The standards have been high and I hope that the club will continue to rise to even greater heights.
Part of my heart will always belong to Panathinaikos and remain a proud supporter from afar.
With respect, Sunny Betsirovic“
