His biography

John Itunas was born in Bernon Hills, Illinois on September 2, 2002, is 1.91 height and competes in the guard positions. His Greek roots hold from the Peloponnese, as his father comes from Tripoli.

He had great performance in basketball during his school years. He attended Stevenson High School with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists average being the leader and leader of the team for the last two years of his presence there.

In his first college season, Ituna first played at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. During the 2021-22 season he moved to Triton College (Junior College) where he had 4.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in 31 games.

In the last two years of his college career, he has competed at Elmhurst University (Division 3). In the 2022-23 season he had 14.4 points and 2.5 assists in 28 games with 30 minutes of participation average.

During the 2023-24 season he had 17.6 points and 2.4 assists in 28 games with 32.8 minutes average, completing his presence in the College Championship in the best possible way.

Indeed, at the end of the season (2023-2024), Elmhurst University Athletics announced that Itunas was among those who won the athlete of the year as in addition to his athletic performance he also stood out for academic progress (finance studies).

Last season (2024-2025) he competed in the HANTH in the Elite League championship, where averaged 15.5 points in 32 matches, 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1 steal in 32.2 minutes. He shoots with 41.6% on three -pointers and 81% on free shots.
