End of season for Milos Teodosic!

The great Serbian guard announced his retirement from active action at the age of 38, ending a brilliant and successful career.

Teodosic wore the Olympic jersey from 2007 to 2011, having started his career from her FMP Belgrade and wearing the shirts of his career in the aftermath of his career CSKA Moscow; Los Angeles Clippers; Virtu Bologna and Red star.

He celebrated the winning two Cups of Greece with the Piraeus, and during his career he also won the Eurocup, 6 Russian championships and the ABA League.

At the same time, he announced that he would remain in basketball, from a different role.

Teodosic’s message:

‘Dear friends, respected fans and basketball fans

First of all, thank you for the 30 years of common struggle, enjoyment, joy and sadness. It’s time to say goodbye to a phase of my love for the magical game of basketball.

Behind me, behind us, there is a lot of desire, struggle, refusal. Winned trophies, but also lost finals. Everything is basketball and everything is life. And I wouldn’t change any of them, I would change everything – again the same!

Thanks to my Valievci, my Serbia. And all the coaches with whom I had the opportunity to learn basketball.

I haven’t (yet) fully learned. She and I will exchange knowledge and experiences for a long time. For the rest of his life.

I would not place particular emphasis on people, decisive minutes, the most important races … Because each of these “details” (coaches, teammates) was important for my career.

The greatest gratitude goes to my family. And the greatest pride is with them. Lately, I have realized that the biggest advantage of my career as a player is that I will have something to show to the kids! I wish they could grow up a little more … I’ll be in front of them and be – the most complete.

I would not want to make a personal mistake in the end, so there is a group message: “Huge thank everyone, but literally, to every teammate. You all made me a better basketball player. I remember that.

We all play for the fans and for them. So thank you too, sincerely from the depths of my heart. They enjoyed applause and support. The criticism was motivated, the whistles became more intense. Regardless of the identity of the club, the fan always requires respect for those who came to the stadium.

During my career, I didn’t read much comments, nor did I pay attention to social media, but I felt very well every sigh on the pitch. And every pain. From there the inspiration comes from, so you push yourself to become better.

And now, in order not to deviate too much from myself, and it is well known that I have not opened my feelings to the public, I want to share this: I want to know how I ended my career in a club that has a dominant position in my heart.

For my love for Serbia, playing for her coat of arms and under my beloved tricolor, I said everything in the parquet. Words cannot describe this unique, wonderful feeling that still simmering within me. My homeland will remain forever my most important and beloved.

Once again, thank you basketball, we’ll see them again, just without sneakers, jerseys and shorts ».
