Panionios: announced Matt Lewis playing in Karditsa

The reinforcement of the roster continues and Matt Lewis is the new addition of the team ahead of the demanding 2025-2026 period to Stoiximan GBL and the BKT Eurocup. The American athlete was born on December 21, 1998. He is 1.96 meters high and competes in “2” and “3”.

After graduating from Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia, he began his college career at James Madison. From his first year he was excellent as with 14.5 points- 3.5 rebounds he entered the best rookie five in the CAA region.

Another productive year followed with 16.4 points- 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists (a member of CAA’s 3rd Best Five). As a third year he reached 19 points on average and became a member of the second best five in the region.

In the 2024-2025 season he competed in Karditsa where he had an average of 11.7 points- 3.2 rebounds- 1.4 assists with 38% in three-pointers. In the two matches against Panionios he had 9 points in Karditsa and 18 in Glyfada.
