The Women’s National did not get where she wanted, but Eleanna Christinakis referred to the large stock of Eurobasket in Greece that ended on Sunday at the SEF.
In her message on social media, the international shooting guard/forward of Olympiacos says:
“We may not have reached the end, but what we lived was much more than a result.
Greece became the heart of Eurobasket 2025, a place where the game united people, where memories were created and dreams were born.
We welcomed the world with open arms and open hearts.
We saw the legends go up, and most importantly, we saw young girls in the stands dreaming. Their eyes shone from the possibility one day to be on the court themselves.
Because this was not just a tournament. It was a celebration of hope, effort and the inextricable bond between people and sports.
To the athletes, to the fans, and especially to the girls who now believe in their own future thank you!
To the Hellenic Basketball Federation and every soul who worked tirelessly to bring Eurobasket 2025 to life, your efforts were illuminated more from the stadium, illuminated hearts.
