Monireke: “From February and then I hated basketball in Basconia – some have called me clowns”

by

A few weeks ago, the Tsima Monireke signed a cooperation contract with Red star by Yiannis Spheropoulos, leaving her Bass After two seasons in the Basque Country.

Speaking to Euro Insiders Podcast, 29 -year -old Nigerian forward revealed how difficult it has been in the last months of its presence in the Spanish team, stressing that had reached the point of hating basketball and how he did not recognize himself, At a time when there were many who called him “clowns” and asked him to leave.

What Montek said:

“I saw a lot tell my family about being a cancer in the locker room. It was at the end of last season.

I started in the first four or five months of my first year in Basconia with enthusiasm, proving to everyone that they were wrong. Things started to change a little, but I was still doing well.

I realized that my family was receiving all these messages. I’m not going to say that they didn’t want me in Basconia, but I noticed that there were people who didn’t like me. There were things that were saying to me or my family, as ‘you have never played more than one season for no team because no one in the locker room likes’.

The season ended with me being injured and many things were said. It certainly hurt me to see that last season there were high expectations to leave.

It’s crazy because I never had bad interpersonal relationships. Some called me clowns and told me, ‘I am looking forward to leaving my team’.

It influenced my game from February to the end of the season. I don’t know who this Tsima was. It was like I was sad every day. I hated to play basketball, go to workout, I hated the days of the games. You can see my numbers, my face, last season. I started happy, smiling, and then I was influenced so many things. “
