PA Niki Volou announces the acquisition of Antonis Stergiakis. The 26 -year -old goalkeeper, with experiences from Greece, Bulgaria and England, is part of our team’s roster, reinforcing the position under the beams ahead of the new season in the Super League 2.
Stergiakis, 1.95, was born on March 16, 1999 in Thessaloniki. He began his career at Mars academies and at the age of 16 he competed in the 3rd National with Storm Filotas. In 2015 he was transferred to Bulgarian Slavia Sofia, where he became a key member of the team, while in 2017 he was a candidate for the Golden Boy award – one of the few Greeks with this honor. With the Bulgarian team he played in 74 games, both in the first division of the country and in the cup.
In 2020 he made a step in the English Championship, signing Championship in Blackburn Rovers, and returned to Greece on behalf of Panetolikos in the summer of 2022, where he had 15 total entries.
Internationally, Stergiakis has worn the National Hope jersey, with which he made his first appearance in 2019.
