Athlete Botsia George Diamantopoulos died

Sad for the death of George Diamantopoulos, athlete Botsia, at the age of 32. The deceased passed away because of a rare neuromuscular disease. He was the first athlete of the Association in the body healthy – AS. Disabled Veria and essentially the department was created.

The Association’s announcement:

The family of the “body is healthy” AS Disabled Veria, with a lot of pain, bid farewell to the athlete of the Boccia department, the always smiling, Diamantopoulos George, who is no longer with us. The news of his loss, at the age of 32, filled us with sadness. This is the third athlete with a disability who loses our club in just 10 years of life ….

George was the first Boccia athlete of our club and formally created the department. He participated as an athlete in the BC2 category in the 2017 and 2018 Pan -Hellenic Championships, and in essence with his participation, he became the reason for other children with disabilities to come to our workouts.

The administration of the Association sends its sincere condolences to George’s parents, Sotiris and Anthi, who has always been by his side and decides as a minimum tribute to George’s memory, to soon make a charity move.
