With the 400m mixed individual qualifiers the last day of 22nd World Athletics Championship In Singapore, with Greek entries and important experiences for our country’s representatives.
THE Daniel Gourtzidisin his first presence in the World Championship and at the age of 23, he showed stability and competitiveness. In the 2nd row of the race he finished 2nd with time 4: 16.62by slightly improving this year’s performance (4: 16.64), and by conquering it 15th position among strong opponents. His turn was won by the Dutchman Thomas Jansen.

Less positively rolled things up for his Apostle Papastamoswho participated in the 4th row and with time 4: 31.05 ranked 30thfar away from his individual record (4: 10.83).
The qualification in the final of 8 was judged in 4: 13.59time noted by the Gambor Zobori from Hungary. Impressive but only 7th in the qualifying qualifying Leon Marsan with 4: 13.19a few days after it had “broken” the timers in the 200m mixed with 1: 52.69. The top times were achieved by the Japanese Tomoguki Matsusita (4: 10.39) and Nisikava (4: 10.41).
In women, the Artemis Vassilaki completed a very demanding program with dignity. In the 1st row of 400m mixed, finished 3rd with performance 4: 53.27abstaining from this year’s best (4: 47.91), and occupied the overall 21st.

The qualification to the women’s final was closed to 4: 38.31with the Colbert by Great Britain, while the top of all was the Samer Makidos from Canada, with 4: 35.56.
