Karditsa also announced the acquisition of Thomas Zevgaras. The 24-year-old forward was competing until recently in Apollo Karditsa.

“AS Karditsa Japanese announces the addition of Thomas Zevgaras to the roster of the men’s team. The Karditsiotis athlete joins the male team with an agreement for the next three years, giving height and energy to the high line, but also enhancing the local element of the team.

The 24 -year -old (born on January 16, 2001 in Karditsa) athlete, is 2.05 meters high and competes as a power forward and center. Basketball began in Apollo Karditsa and soon stood out for its development, with the result of 2015 at the age of 14 being joined into the Olympic Infrastructure Departments. He competed with Olympiacos until 2019, winning two consecutive Greek championships in 2018 and 2019, and recorded a participation in the A1 National Championship in the match against Panionios on March 24, 2019.

He then competed with Pagrati in the A2 National Championship, and in the summer of 2020, he made the big jump for the United States, where he joined as a student and athlete at the University of Incarney Ward, with whom he competed for two seasons in the 29th and 29th championship. In the two years 2022-2024, he moved to the University of Newman, with which he competed in 48 matches with 344 points and 169 rebounds in the second division of NCAA.
