The Olympiacos men’s volleyball team started preparing for the next season. The “reds”, with new faces (Maximiliano Kavana, Christian From, Demosthenes Linardos, Lambros Pitakoudis, Kostas Kapetanidis) and high goals gathered at the indoor gym of Rentis “Melina Merkouri”.
Aleksandar Nedelkovic was absent from training.
Andrea Gardini stressed: “We are starting a new season. We’ve changed a lot in the team, we have new players, but Olympiacos is always made to win everything. Surely, it will be a difficult season, we will prepare to be ready. Last year, we gave a lot of games and we could be better in the last part of the season. The players will be ready. We adjust our system, we are organized, we are still at the beginning. I wish everyone a wonderful year in volleyball. ”
Aleksandar Atanasievic stressed: “I am very excited about the new season, the club and this wonderful team. We look forward to playing many games and, of course, to conquer trophies. We will be perfectly ready for the first match and the battle we have ahead. ”
Dimitris Tziavras stressed: “We are happy to be together again. With the new faces added this year we have a clear goal, to achieve what we didn’t do last year in the league. We will fight from the beginning for this. I hope that we are all healthy, the year will be very well rolled out and continue to have the excellent climate that has been created in the team in recent years. “
