“Atromitos PAE collectively wants to express its full support and stand by the chairman of the board, Vasilios Betsi, for his unjust arrest following an investigation by the Police of Y.A.O.A.B.
As PAE Atromitos we want to make it clear that the findings referred to in the announcement of the Directorate for Combating Organized Sports Violence of the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime were in no way found inside the Municipal Stadium of Peristeri, but in an area outside of it, in which our team clearly has no connection and responsibility.
Furthermore, we emphasize that the arrest of our president is solely due to formal reasons arising from his role as Deputy Mayor of Sports.
The whole family of Atromitos is waiting for Vassilis Betsis’s vindication, a fact we are sure will be proven within the next 24 hours and after the authorities’ investigations.”
