Five are the nominees from World Athletics for the top track and field athlete of the year award in non-running events, namely throws, jumps and decathlon. From Monday until October 26, athletics fans can vote for one of the five candidates on the World Athletics Federation’s social media platforms.
The candidates are Modo Duplantis in the pole vault, Mattia Furlani in the long jump, Ethan Katzberg in the hammer throw, Hamish Kerr in the high jump and Pedro Pitsardo in the triple jump.
