A very important decision is reportedly just around the corner in the Euroleague. According to a publication of a well-known Israeli website, its administration Euroleague will meet on Tuesday (21/10) at Barcelona and will vote on the possibility of returning the games to Israel.
We remind you that the war in Middle East between Israel and Hamas forced them Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem (Eurocup) to give their home European matches to other countries. At the moment, however, there is a ceasefire in effect in Gaza, which means that this treaty may change.
According to the publication in question, at voting will participate 13 stakeholder groups of the Euroleague, i.e. the following: Panathinaikos, Olympiakos (Greece), Efes, Fenerbahçe (Turkey), Barcelona, Real, Baskonia (Spain), Maccabi (Israel), Armani (Italy), Villerban (France), Bayern (Germany), Zalgiris (Lithuania), CSKA (Russia).
The above clubs will vote on whether they agree to return the Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem at their physical headquarters. Of course, the final decision also passes through their hands Dejan Bodiroga (Euroleague president) and Paulius Motiegiounas (CEO Euroleague).
