Olympiacos left for Munich, where on Thursday (24/10, 21:45) they will face Bayern for the 6th matchday of the Euroleague, with Giorgos Bartzokas making statements shortly before the departure of the mission.

The coach of the “red and white” focused both on the changes in the starting line-up, and on the readiness of his team against the Bavarians, while he spoke in detail about the situation of Kostas Papanikolaou and the rumors about transfer support.

We have three additions to the squad in relation to the game in Belgrade. We have to play well; it’s a difficult ground, where we lost last year. Bayern play a better defense this year and we have to be absolutely ready to face themBartzokas initially stated.

Regarding Kostas Papanikolaouwho injured the quadriceps of his left leg in yesterday’s training session, the Olympiakos coach reported:I don’t know yet, hit practice and we’ll see. It’s going to travel with us, it’s nothing serious, it’s just a knock on the quad from a knee. I hope she doesn’t leave him out».

Regarding the addition of a player to the guards, Giorgos Bartzokas was clear: “I haven’t asked for anything. I would like to tell you that, based on what I have been reading since the beginning of the summer, I believe that only 5% of the transfers that were written were of real interest from us. I would invite people to be a little more thoughtful when they read that Olympiacos has “closed” a player».

The Greek technician concluded by saying: “Each time we must face the challenge before us. Bayern this year have bigger bodies on the perimeter and we have to respond to that».
