PAOK announced Zalto

Kostas Zaltos became a PAOK athlete on Thursday. The champion hammer thrower has agreed with the Amateur “doubleheader” to strengthen the athletics department of the “black and white”.

The 25-year-old Zaltos has been crowned four-time Greek champion in the event and once NCAA champion.

In detail, the announcement:

“PAOK and the athletics department announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Konstantinos Zaltos.

Born in 2000, Konstantinos Zaltos competes in the hammer throw, is 191cm tall and will greatly enhance the efforts of the PAOK athletics department.

Konstantinos Zaltos is a distinguished athlete and member of the Greek National Team. Originally from Mandres Kilkis, he has managed to distinguish himself both in Greece and abroad, becoming one of the most promising names in his field.

He has been named champion of Greece four times, while in 2025 he won the title of NCAA Champion in the United States, where he lives and trains. His credits include a medal at the Balkan Games, as well as multiple participations in the Mediterranean, Pan-European and World Games, most recently at the World Championships in Japan.

His individual record stands at 78.08 meters, a performance that ranks him among the top athletes in his event.

Alongside his athletic career, Konstantinos Zaltos has completed a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and holds a Masters in Sports Science, combining competitive excellence with academic knowledge.

The specific transfer and the general support of the champion is implemented through Mr. Antonis Tsalopoulos, as a reinforcement of the athletics department of PAOK, with the department thanking him warmly.
