In the final stretch are the preparations for the development table tennis championship of Veria. It will be the 2nd in the current racing program and the 8th in the city in one of the oldest and most recognized junior tournaments.
It will be held next weekend, November 27 and 28 at the historic Filippeio gym, it is dedicated, as every year, to the memory of the athlete Fotis Tsialtzoudis and the large number of applications confirms once again the significant impact of the annual event. One hundred and fifty athletes from 40 clubs in the country have shown their interest in being at the foot of Vermio and the local community is preparing to embrace and promote them. The open Panhellenic championship of Veria is organized by the Local Committee of Northern Greece of E.F.O.E.P.A. in collaboration with ASEA Veria and OEA Veria and supporters the municipality of the city and the Peripheral Unit of Imathia.
Applications are divided into 17 teenagers, 9 girls, 61 boys, 23 girls, 30 girls, 8 pangolins and 2 mini girls. Of course, the age group of mini-boys will be left out of the program due to the minimal participation. The draw of the groups in each category will take place next Tuesday. Athletes will have clubs from Athens, Patras, Thessaloniki, Corinth, Kastoria, Serres, Alexandroupoli, Kavala, Florina, Chios, Orestiada, Larissa, Chania, Kozani and of course Veria.
The organizers have prepared the poster of the championship, they will put it in central parts of the city, while promoting the event in the local media. They have also arranged to offer participants a beautiful souvenir.
